Fox News‘ White House correspondent Peter Doocy has welcomed a baby boy with wife Hillary Vaughn.

George Jack Doocy was born Wednesday, April 16, in Washington DC, surrounded by his family.

His mother, a Fox Business anchor, spent 30 hours in labor, Doocy, 37, revealed in a tweet.

He also reiterated how George was born on his and his wife’s wedding anniversary, four years to the day.

The pair are now parents of two after welcoming daughter Bridget in 2023.

The family-of-four are seen posing proudly in a series of photos taken by People, for a feature on Jack’s birth.

Born to a media power couple – and a famous Fox News grandfather – he weighs in at 8lb, 11oz, Doocy said.

He arrived ‘after 30 hours of @hillary__vaughn labor… on our 4th wedding anniversary,’ Doocy wrote, before offering some characteristic humor.

‘So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you!’ he joked, sharing a link to the People article.

In an interview with the magazine, he billed his wife – who has been with Fox Business since 2016 – as ‘the person who came closest to guessing when George would arrive.’

The boy’s big sister, he said, ‘was also the first person to sing “Happy Birthday” to him in the hospital.’ The girl is seen smiling alongside her younger brother in several of the photos.

Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy – Doocy’s own father – also spoke to People for the occasion, recalling how: ‘Just before George was born, the whole family was on baby-watch.’

He then revealed Vaughn went into labor during a live-report from his son that DailyMail.com covered – one that saw a bird abruptly fly onto his head.

‘Oh! Oh my gosh,’ fellow on-air talent Ainsley Earhardt could be heard saying at the time, as the younger Doocy’s  – tuning in remotely to the Manhattan set from outside the White House – flailed and waved the animal away.

Absent from the broadcast was his famous father, who said he had been watching when ‘out of nowhere a dive-bombing bird smacked him in the head.’

‘It has been such a blessing to welcome our son to this world and it is just as special to see Bridget welcome her baby brother George,’ Vaughn, 35, said

‘I woke up my wife Kathy, who listened, paused for a moment and said, “This bird that hit Peter — was it a stork?”‘ he recalled.

‘That night Peter went home, shampooed his hair to get the dirty bird out, and Hillary went into labor sometime after the cream rinse.’

Vaughn, 35, was interviewed as well, telling People she had been reporting on Capitol Hill on the IRS for Tax Day when George ‘was ready to come out.’

‘Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes – I don’t blame him!’ she joked.

’30 hours of labor later – George made his grand entrance to the world.

‘I’m glad Peter took care of our taxes early this year!’ she joked again.

Adding how she’s ‘excited’ to add ‘Boy mom’ to her resume, Vaughn brought up her daughter.

‘It has been such a blessing to welcome our son to this world and it is just as special to see Bridget welcome her baby brother George,’ she said.

‘Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before.’
